A man received a broken leg after he was struck by a police cruiser in Prince Rupert last Saturday night.
The collision happened in a cross walk at the corner of Second Avenue West and Ninth Street near the Moby Dick Inn around 10 p.m..
The pedestrian has been identified by family as Ronald Sanford, however, the RCMP have yet to officially release his name.
Sanford was taken to hospital in Kitimat because medical personnel weren’t available at the Prince Rupert hospital.
Tthe Independent Investigations Office has confirmed they’re looking into the incident.
