Two weeks have passed since a boil water advisory was issued for Prince Rupert, and residents still find themselves without clean drinking water.
In a release today, the City stated that there are no methods available to them to remove cryptosporidium from their supply, leaving the waiting game as the only option.
In August, the City applied for 30 million dollars in funding for a multi-phased water treatment facility which would decrease the risks of future contamination.
Northern Health is continuing to monitor the water supply, and the public will be notified once multiple clear tests are received.
