Shoppers will soon be able to tell if the food they’re buying is produced on Haida Gwaii.
The Misty Isles Economic Development Society is launching a new logo and branding project to promote local products with help from the BC Buy Local program.
The society is partnering with the Graham Island East Coast Farmers’ Institute and local food producers to highlight items from the area.
The “Produced on Haida Gwaii” logo will be used to label fresh produce, including vegetables, greenhouse produce, meat, seafood, and local artisan goods.
The new logo will be unveiled at the Tlell Fall Fair and other farmers’ markets on the islands.
