Property sales in the northwest are considered stable so far this year.
BC Northern Real Estate Board Vice President John Evans says the big takeaways in the northwest include the amount a house is selling for in Kitimat is down.
Evans also says the number of homes sold in Terrace are down slightly.
He says the housing market is really influenced by possible projects coming to the area.
While one of the hot topics of real estate is Vancouver’s market, he says the northwest will see next to no impact from the Vancouver’s hot spree.
Evans says while there is a bit a slump at the moment, he believes it’s nothing to worry about as the market tends to constantly move up and down.
