Williams Lake is one step closer to getting an upgraded Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
The province says they are now reviewing the concept plan from Interior Health to ensure the hospital will meet the needs of patients in the future.
A businesses plan could be started this fall and takes about a year to complete.
The hospital was built in 1963 and has 28 beds and an emergency room, intensive care, operating room and obstetrical units.
The centre also has lab and diagnostic imaging and an outpatient hemodialysis unit.
