Province to block roads near Lac La Hache to restore moose habitat

The BC Government is asking for public input as it attempts to restore moose populations in the South Cariboo.

The Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations wants to create an access management plan for the Murphy Watershed near Lac La Hache.  A key part of the plan to protect critical moose habitat would be to block and deactivate select roads in the watershed.

Residents can view the plan at the 100 Mile House Natural Resource District Office.
