Beginning today, BC residents looking to reduce their environmental footprint will find it more affordable than ever.
Home and business owners in BC will now be able to apply for funding to make their buildings more energy efficient.
Home owners will be able to apply for up to 14 thousand dollars in funding, while businesses will be eligible for as much as 200 thousand dollars.
The program, titled EfficiencyBC, will support projects such as: switching to high-efficiency heating systems, building envelope improvements, upgrading to high efficiency windows and doors, and other environmentally friendly endeavours.
The program is being made possible by a fresh 24 million dollar investment by the provincial government.
