The provincial government is investing 240 million dollars in to improving senior care over the next three years.
Premier John Horgan made the announcement this morning, establishing a goal of 3.36 hours per-resident day by 2021.
In 2016 the average was 3.11.
Since then, the government has added nearly 270 thousand care hours after converting part-time positions to full time, a process they hope to continue by adding 48 million in funding this year.
The government hopes to convert 500 part time positions to full time this year and add 15 hundred new full time positions by the end of 2021.
