The BC government says it will introduce new legislation to ban e-cigarette sales to youth under 19.
Health Minister Terry Lake says the legislation will also prohibit e-cigarette smoking in certain spaces including workplaces and school grounds.
Lake says the new rules are meant to limit children’s exposure to e-cigarette vapour and prevent e-cigarettes from making smoking appear normal.
The province says the legislation will be introduced this spring, but the exact date it will be brought into force hasn’t been determined.
