The Provincial Government is looking to replace the departing Greyhound service with a new, affordable, travel system.
A new interim long-haul bus service was announced today by Premier John Horgan.
The service will launch on June 4th, just 3 days after Greyhound’s planned departure date.
BC Bus North will offer two round trips per week between Prince Rupert an Prince George, Prince George and Valemont, and Prince George to Fort St John.
One round trip from Fort St John to Fort Nelson will also be offered.
Round trip fares are slated to cost between 35 and 45 dollars depending on distance travelled.
The government will fun the new system for 12 months and will look to evaluate and develop a long term replacement during that time.
