Set to invest nearly 2 billion dollars in the public school system over the next 3 years, the provincial government has released a snapshot of their plans and successes thus far.
Over the first 15 months of the current government, the school system has seen funding increase to 6.6 billion, an increase of over 580 million dollars.
During those 15 months, the government has invested in bringing 37 hundred new teachers to BC, established an annual playground equipment fund, and announced 33 school capital projects.
15 new or upgraded schools are in the works for the next 3 years.
