After an extensive period of consultations, Quesnel City Council have approved the final draft of their Economic Development Transition Strategy.
The strategy focuses on attracting and retaining a diverse population, creating a positive and innovative business climate, establishing Quesnel as a visitor’s destination, and strengthening collaborations with First Nations.
A number of actions are planned for the next five years under the strategy, including: developing tourist destinations, adding innovation to natural resource industries, and an investment in resident attraction.
A community mailout is set to be released soon to provide residents with an overview of the strategy.
