The City of Quesnel is trying to help out students affected by new parking fees at CNC’s North Cariboo Community Campus.
Council has passed a resolution to provide free transit to both college and UNBC students from September 8th to December 31st.
The measure follows a decision last week by the College of New Caledonia to institute pay parking at the campus for the first time.
Students can ride the bus for free by showing the transit driver their current semester student ID.
The city is hosting a special open council meeting September 28th to discuss the pay parking initiative at the North Cariboo Community Campus.
CNC President Henry Reiser and Board Chair Vince Prince will be attending.
