A Quesnel man will spend time in jail for a crash that killed a Prince George teen five years ago.
Cody Dan pleaded guilty to to impaired driving causing death and was sentenced to a prison term of two years, less a day Friday.
Dan was 19-years-old when the vehicle he was driving left the Nazko Highway in the early morning of August 16, 2012, went down a steep embankment, and burst into flames.
His 17-year-old passenger Larry Laurent of Prince George died at the scene.
Dan, who also pleaded guilty to taking a motor vehicle without consent, has been sentenced to a year of probation and a three-year driving ban along with jail time.
