RCMP asking for help after canoe found empty in Skeena River

Prince Rupert RCMP are hoping someone can help them solve a mystery.

Corporal Dave Tyreman says police were notified about an empty canoe floating in the Skeena River halfway between Terrace and Prince Rupert April 8th.

RCMP say no missing persons reports have been made to the Terrace or Prince Rupert detachments.

You can find a picture of the canoe at our website cfnrfm.ca.

Tyreman says if anyone recognizes the canoe or knows its rightful owner, they should contact the Prince Rupert RCMP at 250 624-2136.
