RCMP have thwarted a major crime operation, which had spread across all 4 western provinces, following a 10 month investigation.
Nearly 3 million dollars in drugs, weapons, vehicles, and cash were seized across BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
10 people were arrested and are facing more than 150 charges as a result of the sting, dubbed Project Riverbank.
Those arrested ranged from 22 to 70 years old and are facing charges relating to trafficking, possession, and weapons-related offenses.
Police began the final stretch of arrests after executing search warrants in Winnipeg on October 18th.
RCMP hope the bust will cripple the sophisticated ring which had been moving drugs across the country from west to east, originating on the west coast of British Columbia.
