RCMP investigating botched home invasion in Thornhill

Terrace RCMP are investigating a botched home invasion.

Police were called on to the 3600 block of Old Lakelse Lake Drive in Thornhill Friday morning.

Mounties say a masked man forced the door open and showed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money.

The RCMP say a suspect assaulted a man while a female occupant managed to run from the residence.

The suspect then ran away empty handed.

Mounties says the man suffered minor injuries.

Police are looking for a man described as Caucasian, possibly in his twenties to thirties and has a slim build.

He was wearing a black hooded sweater with black rain pants with a white-zippered section across the knees and his face was partially covered with a surgical type mask.

Call police or Crime Stoppers if you have any information.
