RCMP in the Chilcotin are investigating two extremely disturbing cases of animal cruelty.
Alexis Creek RCMP say the first incident happened in December of last year. Police found a dead dog with its legs bound together lying on a road at the Anaham reserve. Investigators determined that the dog had been dragged to death behind a vehicle.
RCMP say a second dog killed in a similar fashion was found on the reserve March 8th.
Police say the chief and council of the First Nation have been engaged on the matter, but no leads have been developed yet.
Anyone with information about the incidents should contact the Alexis Creek RCMP at 250 394-4211 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
