RCMP release teen in shooting death, recommend charges

Terrace RCMP have released a 16 year-old boy arrested in the shooting death of another teenager.

Mounties say the boy has been released into the custody of his parents and must abide by a number of conditions.

The boy was arrested after police were called to a Molitor Street home Monday night where they found a 15 year-old boy suffering a gunshot wound.

The teen was taken to Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace but died of his injuries.
Police are recommending charges of Manslaughter and Criminal Negligence Causing Death to Crown Counsel.

Terrace RCMP and the North District Major Crime Unit are still investigating.
