RCMP say don’t drink and drive

Today is National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day, which means expect to see road checks at various locations and times throughout Terrace and the area.

Constable Angela Rabut of the Terrace RCMP says make plans on how to get home before heading out.

Tomorrow, the RCMP will be at the BC Liquor Store from 2pm to 5pm handing out red ribbons as part of the Mothers Against Drunk Driving Project Red Ribbon.

The ribbon is a symbol of the person’s committment to drive sober.

Cst. Rabut says she’s heard all the excuses why a person decided to drive after drinking.

She also asks people to call 911 to report suspected impaired drivers, adding it could save a life.
