RCMP on Haida Gwaii say an assault last month was a targeted attack and the public is not at risk from the suspect.
Mounties say a 45 year-old man was attacked January 26th at a Sandspit business after hours.
The victim didn’t suffer life-threatening injuries, but needed treatment off Haida Gwaii.
Police arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the attack and are recommending a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Investigators says they two men knew each other and the motive of the attack is rooted in an “interpersonal relationship”.
RCMP will not be releasing the identity of the victim or suspect.
