Police are seeking witnesses to a hit and run just outside Terrace yesterday that resulted in the death of one man.
RCMP initially discovered the body of the deceased man in a north side ditch on Highway 16, roughly 4 kms west of Terrace yesterday morning.
They determined the man’s injuries to be consistent with with having been struck by a vehicle and launched an investigation.
So far, police have determined that the man was walking east along the Highway between 3:00 and 7:00 yesterday morning when he was hit.
The man has since been identified as a Terrace resident in his 30s.
North District RCMP and West Pacific Region Traffic Services became involved in the investigation and wish to speak to anyone who may have been traveling along the highway between 3 and 7 in the morning.
