RCMP have a man and woman in custody after a they allegedly stole the vehicle of a person who stopped to help them.
Williams Lake Mounties say the good Samaritan came upon a crashed truck in the 70 Mile House area shortly after 7 Wednesday morning.
The man and woman in the truck then made off with the helper’s vehicle and fled north along Highway 97.
RCMP from across the Cariboo, as well as the RCMP Emergency Response Team, a dog team, and an RCMP aircraft were called out to intercept the vehicle.
Mounties say the aircraft made the difference, as it was able to direct ground-based units to the stolen vehicle where police arrested the two suspects.
