RDBN rescinds evacuation alerts for Gilmore Lake Wildfire

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has rescinded all evacuation alerts relating to the Gilmore Lake Wildfire.

Currently, the fire is burning just 211 hectares and is listed as 100 percent contained.

Bucketing will be continued throughout the day as most personnel from the fire refocus their efforts on the rest of the Babine Complex.

Residents are asked to return home as soon as possible to make room at reception centres for other evacuees.

There is still an active fire in the area, and residents should continue to exercise caution.
