Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako operating four emergency reception centres

With wildfires sprouting up across the district, forcing residents to evacuated their homes, the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has opened up four emergency services reception centres.

The centres offer temporary support by way of food and lodging for evacuees and can be found at:

  • The Christian Reformed Church in Smithers at 4035 Walnut Dr.
  • The Municipal Building in Fraser Lake at 210 Carrier Crescent.
  • The College of New Caledonia Campus in Burns Lake at 545 Highway 16 W.
  • The CN Centre in Prince George at 100-2187 Ospika Blvd. via the back entrance.

Evacuees are encouraged to attend the centre nearest to them and register, but should they need lodging will need to travel to Prince George.

You can find up-to-date maps of all evacuation order areas at the District’s website here.
