RCMP and family marked the 25 year anniversary of an arson that wiped out three generations of a Prince Rupert family by appealing for information.
The force held a news conference Thursday morning in Vancouver seeking tips that could crack the case.
Fire tore through the Brooks Bank Building in Prince Rupert in the early morning hours of February 5th, 1990.
The blaze killed 45 year old Helga Rochon, her daughters Sherri and Pauline Rochon, and Pauline’s daughter Kimberly Dumais.
Helga’s daughter Lorraine Rochon says the fire changed their family’s lives forever.
RCMP say the family received an anonymous letter four years ago regarding the fire, but Lorraine says it’s left them with more questions than answers.
Investigators have not revealed the content of the letter, but say they are trying to find the author of the letter which was received on the 21st anniversary of the tragedy.
