Searchers are expected to begin combing the North Shore Mountains outside Vancouver this morning looking for survivors of a small cargo plane that disappeared yesterday morning.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre says debris, including part of a wing from the twin engine SA-266 Metro II was found yesterday. There was no sign of the two pilots that were on board.
Carson Air Flight 66 dropped off radar at 7:08 Monday shortly after taking off from Vancouver International Airport. The plane was in the air at 6:43 and was expected to land at 8:00 in Prince George.
North Shore Search and Rescue and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre are searching an area approximately 10 km north of Vancouver.
