The search for a missing man off the coast of Haida Gwaii has been suspended.
Brent Hendren was reported as possibly missing on Tuesday morning by a friend.
Hendren lives on Kumdis Island between the communities of Masset and Port Clements.
Investigators say he borrowed a small rowboat over the past week to travel between his home and the two villages and was last seen in Port Clements Sunday morning.
On Wednesday the Coast Guard and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre ended their search, turning the search over to the RCMP.
The RCMP continued their search on Thursday with planes, boats, and volunteers.
After three full days of searching over 100 nautical miles of shoreline, and without any new signs of Hendren, the search was suspended yesterday evening.
RCMP say if any new information comes to light, all resources will be re-engaged.
Victim services has been provided to Hendren’s family.
