Terrace RCMP are advising motorists to slow down and drive according to conditions.
The advice comes after a crash along Highway 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert Thursday morning.
Constable Angela Rabut says RCMP and emergency crews were called out to a report of a semi in the ditch near Kasiks.
When first responders got the vehicle, they couldn’t find anyone at the scene. The driver and lone occupant was later found uninjured at Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace.
Rabut says she doesn’t know if road conditions were a factor in the crash, but says there has been a mix of freezing rain and snow recently.
Rabut says leaving plenty of space between your vehicle and others on the road is essential, especially when it’s slick.
She says staying alert to the changing weather and road conditions is also a must.
