Site C protesters arrested for blocking access

Fort St. John RCMP have arrested three protesters at BC Hydro’s Site C dam construction site.

The first arrest took place at 10am this morning when a man refused to stop blocking a pick-up truck from accessing the project site.

Later in the day at noon, police were once again called to the site as more protesters began blocking the road, which resulted in two more protesters being arrested.

The Fort St. John RCMP emphasizes lawful protests are allowed, but in this case they were enforcing the criminal code.
