As of Tuesday, August 7, parts of the Skeena River are open to recreational salmon fishing.
Anglers will be able fish for Coho and Pink, but fishing for Chinook and Chum is still off limits for the entire Skeena River watershed.
There are also restrictions on the mainstem of the Skeena. Salmon fishing is still off limits near Kitsumkalum River mouth, from Zymachord River mouth upstream to the power line crossing below Ferry Island.
Check the online BC Sport Fishing Guide, Freshwater Region 6, for a complete list of Skeena River salmon regulations.
