Traffic was tied up along a section of Highway 16 near Fraser Lake Wednesday morning after a mishap involving a commercial truck.
North District RCMP say an empty semi jack-knifed in what police describe as slippery and slushy conditions.
Highways crews were initially able to open up one lane of the highway, but RCMP say a logging truck making its way through the area sunk in the soft shoulder of the road, blocking the road again.
The transportation ministry says Highway 16 is now once again open to single-lane alternating traffic.
