An onslaught of wet snow and rain last night has Drive BC warning residents of poor road conditions on Highway 16 stretching all the way from Prince Rupert to Telkwa.
Rain, snow, and relatively warm temperatures have combined to create slushy, mucky, and icy conditions across the already treacherous stretch of Highway.
As a result, drivers are being warned to slow down, stay clear of larger commercial vehicles, and avoid hitting the roads all together whenever possible.
If you do have to drive, try to avoid any side roads on your route, and ensure your vehicles are adequately prepared for winter driving conditions.
