A suspect is now in custody following a two week investigation in Smithers.
The investigation originally stems from a June 25th armed robbery at a 7-Eleven on Highway 16.
The original incident saw an armed and masked suspect make off with a tray of lottery tickets and donation box.
Yesterday, Smithers RCMP launched a search warrant of a residence linked to the suspect following tips from another local business.
Evidence believed to be related to the robbery was found in the home and the suspect was arrested on scene.
The suspect is currently in custody awaiting trial.
