Smithers RCMP are investigating after an armed robbery in the town early Monday.
Investigators say a masked man entered a local business along Highway 16 at about 3:30 in the morning, pulled weapon, and demanded money from the employee.
RCMP male then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Mounties say the suspect is believed to be in his twenties, standing between 5′ 8″ and 5′ 11″, but no other descriptors are available.
