The same Pacific frontal system that’s bringing high winds to the North and Central coast is also bringing lots of snow.
Terrace can expect a brief period of freezing rain this afternoon, while Stewart can expect up to 20cm of snow by early Friday morning.
Other areas can expect 10-15cm of snow.
Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
