A BC north coast community has issued a boil water advisory to residents.
The District of Stewart says that its water supply in certain areas is or is suspected of contamination.
While the district has not revealed what may have contaminated the water, it says it may not be safe for human consumption.
The local government is asking residents to boil water for at least two minutes before it’s used for drinking, brushing teeth, food preparation, or washing.
The district says the entire community is affected.
Residents with questions are asked to contact the District of Stewart Office at (250) 636-2251.
