Drivers in the Williams Lake area will be pleased to see less construction and increased speed limits on parts of Highway 97 come the end of November.
Though the four lane expansion between Williams Lake Indian Reserve Number One and Lexington Road is still unfinished, crews will spend November wrapping up construction for the winter.
This means that drivers will see four lanes, but will only be able to use two until construction can restart in the winter.
The two lanes will remain open and uninterrupted throughout the winter months, barring any emergency service.
Drivers will also see the speed limit for the 6.2 km stretch of Highway jump from 50 to 70 km/h until construction resumes.
It is estimated that there is still 4 to 6 weeks of work remaining on the project.
