Kitimat residents will have a chance to talk sustainability with their local provincial candidates.
Next Thursday, a forum will be held at the Kitimat Valley Institute to discuss how local communities can reach the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The forum is organized by the Kitimat 2030 committee in partnership with the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation.
Dan Harris is with the BCCIC and says, while the UN goals may sound lofty, the issues they’ll be discussing at the meeting stem from local concerns.
He says this forum will be a conversation between the candidates and attendees, as well as other community members.
The forum is on April 6th at the Kitimat Valley Institute from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
