Sutherland public access restrictions

Public access to areas around Sutherland Road have now been restricted due to wildfires.

No one outside of residents and people who work in the area will be able to enter the zone within boundaries set up starting at highway 27 and the Barlow Forest Service Road.

The zone is 10 kilometres north of Fort Fraser, reaching one kilometre south from highway and 24 kilometres west to the junction of Dog Creek Road.

The restriction has been put in place to protect the public and firefighting personnel.

Road checks are being done and an evacuation alert is ongoing in the area.
