Chad Day has been reinstated as President of the Tahltan Central Government.
Day was removed from the position in December after allegations of wrong doing.
An investigation by a third party was launched under the Tahltan Governance Policy and found the allegations of professional misconduct were unfounded and false.
Tahltan’s Executive Director, Calvin Carlick, says he’s pleased that the investigation is over and was done through an impartial party. He says it’s important that it’s done this way to ensure the findings are true and ensure proper actions are taken.
Vice President Heather Hawkins says the investigation has addressed and settled this matter and looks forward to having Day back to continue working on projects.
Day’s reinstatement was effective as of Saturday.
