The Terrace and District Community Services Society is raising funds for its soup kitchen by selling coffee.

Bags of TDCSS branded coffee is being sold at Xanders Coffee in downtown Terrace.

Stacey Tyers is with the TDCSS, and she says steady funding for projects can be hard to come by.

Tyers says not only do the coffee sales help their soup kitchen, the medium roast beans are Colombian farm direct, meaning the farmers are paid directly for the beans.

Tyers notes that attitudes have shifted on the streets this year.

Half the proceeds, or $7.50 from each bag of coffee, will go directly to fund the soup kitchen.
