The City of Terrace and its unionized workers have ratified a new labour deal.
The city and CUPE Local 2012 say the four-year agreement takes effect January 1st, 2018 and includes wage increases of 1.5%, 1.5% in 2019, 2.0% in 2020 and 2.0% in 2021. The contract also provides some benefit improvements.
Terrace Mayor Carol Leclerc says the city is pleased to recognize the contributions of staff with the new collective agreement.
CUPE 2012 President Terry Williamson says the bargaining process was respectful and productive.
The current labour agreement expires December 31st, 2017.
