The Terrace Aquatic Centre is expecting a busy weekend.
The City of Terrace says plenty of swimmers have been making use of the newly renovated facility since it re-opened to the public Thursday.
An official with the city says staff have seen about 130-150 patrons per night.
The pool is offering free admission during public swim & gym hours Monday to Friday 3pm to 8pm and Saturday & Sunday 12pm to 5pm until December 2nd.
Admission is on a first-come first-serve basis with a cap of 200 patrons.
The $8.8 million revitalization project began in March of 2017 and was originally expected to open in mid-July. A further setback occurred in August when defect in the tile installation around the main pool was discovered.
Meantime, work on the additional $175,000 foyer project at the pool continues.
