Terrace City Council voted yesterday to temporarily overlook a noise Bylaw to allow Sunday construction on an affordable housing project in the city.
A 7 day work week is required in order to finish the Rapid Response to Homelessness Project at 4523 Olsen Avenue due to a tight timeline imposed by BC Housing.
As a result, council voted to allow Sunday construction on the project which will bring 52 modular housing units to the city.
As the units are modular in design, most high-noise construction will already be complete when they arrive at the end of October.
The vote will apply from October 15th to December 31st.
