In their second quarter report for 2018, the Terrace Fire Department noted 349 calls to action, marking a 68 percent increase since 2016.
Medical aid and first responder calls saw the biggest jump with 226 this year, up from 114 two years ago.
The number of fire related calls has actually decreased over the past two years to 53, down from 61 during the second quarter of last year and 58 in 2016.
In total, the second quarter of this year saw just an 8 percent jump in calls compared to the 324 from the same time last year.
