Terrace RCMP say a man’s joyride through the local mall caused about $126,000 dollars worth of damage.
Mounties say 22 year-old Curtis Summers is facing charges after the December 28th incident that saw a pickup bulldoze through one entrance of the Skeena Mall and then out the other.
The mall was closed at the time and there were no injuries.
RCMP were initially called to an assault where the attacker fled in a white Ford truck. Moments later, Mounties were notified that a similar looking truck had been driven through the mall.
Summers was arrested at a nearby restaurant after police say he walked through the door and told people to call RCMP.
He’s charged with dangerous use of a vehicle, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon.
Summers remains in custody and is expected to be back in court January 28th.
