A Terrace man is facing criminal charges after a serious assault last week.
RCMP were called to the 5000 block of Park Avenue shortly before 6:30 Thursday for a report of a badly beaten man.
When Mounties got to the scene, they were told the suspect had a gun. Police put up a perimeter and called in an RCMP dog which was able tot track a man and woman hiding behind a snow pile.
Police arrested the pair without incident while the victim was taken to hospital with numerous injuries.
Terrace RCMP say 36 year-old Larry Brian McCarthy is charged with on count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and one count of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.
McCarthy was released by a Judge on numerous conditions and is expected to return to court at a later date.
