Terrace RCMP investigate more attempted luring cases

Terrace RCMP are investigating two more cases of attempted luring.

Police put out an advisory last week after a 14 year-old girl was propositioned by a man at a business Tuesday, June 9th.

RCMP have since received two additional complaints about similar incidents.

On June 7th, man driving a dark green van approached a 15 year-old girl on Haugland Avenue and asked if she wanted to go to a party or get something to eat. On June 13th, a man driving a blue truck asked a 14 year-old girl walking on the new bridge is she wanted a ride home.

Constable Angela Rabut says there’s nothing to indicate that any of the cases are connected, but says it’s important to talk about personal safety.

Rabut says, in all three cases, the girls did the right thing.

The suspect in the June 7th incident is described as Caucasian, bald, and in his mid-thirties.

The suspect in the June 13th attempt is described as Caucasian, heavier set, and in his forties.

Contact Terrace RCMP or Crime Stoppers with any tips.

  1. I don’t understand almost every teenager has a phone why not take a shot of his vehicle or the perpetrator … This is nuts ! Why isn’t anything happening ? There should be a door to door search on this guy!
