Terrace RCMP are pleading for witnesses to come forward after a man was found badly injured near the Skeena River Wednesday night.
Constable Angela Rabut says the 50-year-old, suffering from a severe neck wound, was able to flag down help around 9 o’clock near old bridge off Queensway Drive.
Rabut says investigators are still trying to piece together what happened because the man lost consciousness before he could speak to police.
An RCMP officer has accompanied the man to hospital in Vancouver where he is undergoing treatment.
Rabut says investigators are still processing the scene around the old bridge and the span will likely be closed to traffic for the entire day.
